Know what you're ungated to sell on your own seller account, the real Amazon fees, your profit — and the exact price to buy at. All without leaving the page.
Am I Ungated? connects to your own Amazon Selling Partner account through Amazon's official authorization and uses the Product Listing and Pricing data it returns to answer the questions that decide a buy.
One button. It works through the brands you're already approved for first, page by page, before it goes looking anywhere else — and it doesn't stop at the depth you picked until it has found at least 50 products worth buying, widening its own rules a step at a time to get there. Every run learns more about your account.
Product Listing + PricingOpen amiungated.com/m, point your camera at a barcode in any store, and get ungated or gated, Amazon's real fees, and the most you can pay — before it goes in the cart. Add it to your home screen and it opens like a normal app. Works on iPhone and Android; your subscription covers it.
Product Listing + PricingScan popular brands against your own account and get a shopping list of what's open to you today — no application needed. Re-check later and it tells you which brands Amazon has newly opened to you.
Product Listing roleMost rejections are paperwork, not product. We show exactly what Amazon wants on the invoice — including the address mismatch that trips up most people — and link straight to the approval page for that ASIN.
Product Listing rolePaste or upload a supplier list and check every product against your account. We tell you up front how long it takes — "about 44 minutes, done around 9:15" — so you can walk away and come back to the answer.
Product Listing roleSee in one click whether your seller account can list a product new, and what approval — if any — Amazon requires for that brand or category.
Product Listing roleLive referral, fulfillment, and closing fees for both fulfillment methods, so you see the true cost before you commit.
Pricing roleEnter your buy cost and the tool computes net profit, ROI, and margin — for a single unit or a whole purchase order.
Pricing roleCurrent Buy Box price plus how many FBA vs. FBM sellers share the listing, and whether Amazon itself is selling it.
Pricing roleBest Sellers Rank, category, and an estimated monthly sales range, so you can gauge how fast inventory will move.
Product Listing roleAn overlay appears right on Amazon product pages, and a bulk scanner checks a whole search page, category page, or competitor storefront at once — with saved buy criteria, a watchlist, and step-by-step ungating guidance.
Product Listing + PricingAmazon approves you per size and colour, not per listing. Check the whole variation family at once and see exactly which children you can sell — the mistake that quietly kills clothing and beauty buys.
Product Listing roleEvery ungated product shows the most you can pay and still hit your ROI goal. See a shelf price, type it in, get an instant BUYABLE or PASS with profit and ROI.
Pricing roleFlags brands that are widely reported for filing intellectual-property complaints against resellers — the failure mode that can suspend an account, not just lose a sale.
Product Listing rolePick the retailers you actually buy from and every product gets one-click searches — matched by UPC where possible, not a fuzzy title — plus "find it near me" for your area.
No Amazon data usedYou connect your own Amazon seller account once, through Amazon's official login. We never see your Amazon password.
Add Am I Ungated? to Chrome and create an account with your email.
Authorize the app through Amazon's official Selling Partner login. Your access is encrypted and can be revoked any time.
Open an Amazon product or search page and get eligibility, fees, and profit instantly — one item or a whole page.
Rough numbers in two seconds. The extension replaces these estimates with your account's exact fees from Amazon, per product.
Start free. Upgrade when you're ready. No hidden fees, no contracts, no quotes.
Billed through Stripe. Auto-renews until canceled; cancel any time and keep access through the end of the billing period. There are no other service fees. Comparable seller tools typically run $20–$50 per month.
Start with 7 days of unlimited checks. A card is required, and you can cancel any time before day 7. If you do subscribe and it isn't for you, email us within 7 days of your first charge and we refund it in full. No forms, no "retention specialist", no questions.
We ask for the minimum access needed to do the job, and we protect it.
Exact API scope we request: Product Listing (eligibility, catalog, rank) and Pricing (fees, offers, Buy Box) — nothing else. No orders, no buyer data, no financial reports. The Product Listing role technically permits listing edits, but our code only ever reads — it never creates, edits, or deletes any of your listings. This account-specific access is also why our verdicts are accurate for you, instead of a generic database guess.
New to selling on Amazon? Here's what the tool shows you and why each part matters — no jargon, no assumed knowledge.
Can you sell this at all? Amazon restricts many brands and categories. "Gated" means you'd need approval first. It's decided per seller account — the same product can be ungated for your friend and gated for you, which is why we ask Amazon about your account rather than showing a generic list.
What Amazon takes from each sale. Two parts: the referral fee (a commission, usually 15% but as low as 8% on electronics and as high as 45% on Amazon device accessories — it varies by category, see the calculator above) and the fulfilment fee (what Amazon charges to pick, pack and ship it, based on size and weight). We pull the real numbers from Amazon for that exact product — not an average.
How fast it sells. #1 is the best seller in its category; #500,000 barely moves. Lower is better. We turn it into an estimated monthly sales figure so you can judge whether stock will actually shift.
The most you can pay and still make your margin. We work backwards from the selling price, subtract Amazon's fees, and solve for your cost at the ROI you set. See a shelf price under that number and it's worth buying.
ROI = profit ÷ what you spent. Spend $10, make $3 back → 30% ROI. It tells you how hard your money is working. Margin = profit ÷ selling price, which tells you how much cushion you have if the price drops. Most arbitrage sellers aim for 30%+ ROI.
Is Amazon itself selling this? If so, they win the Buy Box the vast majority of the time and third-party sellers rarely get sales. We also show how many FBA (Amazon-shipped) and FBM (merchant-shipped) sellers are competing.
Sizes and colours are approved separately. A listing can look ungated while half its sizes are restricted. We check every child product in the family so you don't buy the one variation you can't sell.
Some brands police resellers aggressively. We flag product names that match a watchlist of brands widely reported in seller communities for filing intellectual-property complaints. It is a name match against a list, not a judgment about any company — and it can catch an unrelated business that shares a word. Treat it as "source from an authorized distributor and keep your invoices", not as an accusation
Which bucket Amazon puts your product in — small standard, large standard, bulky and so on. It drives the fulfilment fee and monthly storage cost. Amazon charges on the greater of the actual weight or the "dimensional weight" (length × width × height ÷ 139), so a big light box costs more than it weighs.
The same eligibility, fee and profit engine — in your pocket. Point your camera at a barcode in any store and get an instant ungated / gated answer plus your buy-target price, before you put it in the cart.
The App Store and Google Play versions are still in review. Until they land you can add the web version to your home screen — it opens full screen, keeps you signed in, and uses the camera exactly like the real app will. Takes about twenty seconds:
It's the same login and the same data as the extension and web app — nothing to set up twice. When the native apps ship you'll be able to move straight over; your subscription covers every version at no extra cost.
The phone version is live now at amiungated.com/m — scan a barcode in the aisle and get eligibility, fees, and your buy target before you reach the till. Add it to your home screen and it opens full-screen like an app. Native App Store and Google Play builds are next; your subscription covers every version at no extra cost. Open it on your phone →
Yes. Am I Ungated? uses Amazon's official Selling Partner API through Amazon's own authorization flow — the same system tools like inventory managers use. It only reads listing eligibility, fees, and pricing data for your account. It never scrapes, never automates your seller account, and never touches buyer data.
Yes — a Professional seller account. Eligibility ("gating") is specific to each seller account, which is exactly why generic lists of "ungated categories" don't work. The extension checks what your account can sell.
Eligibility comes straight from Amazon's Listings Restrictions API for your account, so it's as accurate as Amazon's own answer — with two caveats we'd rather state up front. Amazon can report "restricted" when your account simply lacks access to that product type, not the brand. And when Amazon returns only part of a listing's offers, we show "?" instead of guessing "no competition". We'd rather tell you we don't know than be confidently wrong — always confirm big buys in Seller Central.
Because gating is per-account. Amazon decides brand and category approval based on your account's history, age, and performance. Two sellers scanning the same product can get different answers — that's the whole point of checking with your own account before you buy inventory.
You get 7 days free with full results and unlimited product checks. A card is required at signup so access continues without a gap; cancel any time in those 7 days and you are never charged. After the trial it's $9.99/month (or $99.99/year) for unlimited checks. Cancel anytime and keep access until the end of your billing period.
Amazon US (amazon.com) today. If you'd like another marketplace, email us — we prioritize by demand.
You authorize through Amazon's official login — we never see your Amazon password. The authorization token is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) in a US-hosted database, is never sold or shared, and you can revoke it any time from inside the extension or from Seller Central.
Because eligibility is per-account — there's no other way to answer "can I sell this?" accurately. Connecting your account through Amazon's official API is industry-standard: established tools like RevSeller require the same authorization. We request only the Product Listing and Pricing data roles — no orders, no buyer information, no financial reports.
From the extension's Subscription screen or the website's account page — one click opens your Stripe billing portal where you can cancel instantly. No emails, no retention hoops. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Fair question for any small software company — here's what you can verify without trusting us. You are not charged to try it: 7 days free, and cancelling during them costs nothing. We never handle your card: checkout and billing run entirely on Stripe, and we only ever see whether your subscription is active. You can leave on your own: cancellation happens in Stripe's portal, not through us. We're a real registered company — Tadrous LLC, United States — with a published Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, a working support address, and a listing on the Chrome Web Store where Google reviews the extension's permissions. And we back it with a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first charge.
$9.99 per month, or $99.99 per year if you choose annual — the price shown on the button before you click, and again on Stripe's checkout page before you confirm. It renews on the same date each period until you cancel, and there are no setup fees, per-scan charges, or in-app upsells. If a price ever changes, existing subscribers get notice by email first.
Install it, connect your Amazon account, and scan your first page in under two minutes. 7 days free — cancel before day 7 and you are not charged.
